After working for 7+ years as a freelance Videographer, I have finally decided to release a curated collection of my cinematic LUTs for LOG & Rec709 footage. I use these on every project - from promotional video content, Instagram reels, all the way to wedding films.

Tested to work on Sony, Canon, iPhone & RED cameras.

These LUTs are designed to provide a cinematic and consistent professional look, without having to spend hours grading your footage.

What's inside?

• 6 cinematic LUTs for Rec709 (.cube files)
• 6 cinematic LUTs for LOG (.cube files)
• Compatible with Adobe Premiere, Final Cut X, DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop, and any other software that utilises 3D LUTs.

Here is how they work:

While these LUTs are designed to work with any footage, you will get the best results if your clips are shot in a flat picture profile for better dynamic range (eg. LOG C, SLOG or C-LOG).

For footage that has been shot in a standard picture profile (or already corrected from LOG), the Rec709 LUTs will work best. Think of these like an Instagram filter for your footage.

When applying a LUT, if you find that the result is too intense for your footage, play around with the intensity slider along with increasing/decreasing the highlights & shadows sliders to achieve a final look you are happy with.

How to install the LUTS:

This will vary depending on your editing software of choice - but if you save the “Video LUTS 001 by Thomas Walmsley” folder somewhere safe on your editing machine where you can consistently access from, then you will be able to access all of the .cube files easily.

Now, to install LUTS on Adobe Premiere Pro, the first step is to download the purchased LUTS folder. Once you have downloaded the file, you need to copy it to the appropriate directory on your computer. The exact location of this directory may vary depending on your operating system and version of Premiere Pro, so be sure to check the documentation or do a quick online search to find the correct path.

Once you have located the directory, simply paste the LUTS file into it. Then, open up Adobe Premiere Pro and import the footage you want to apply the LUTS to. To apply the LUTS, simply go to the Lumetri Color panel and select the LUTS tab. From there, you can choose the LUTS file you just installed and apply it to your footage.

And that's it! With these simple steps, you can install and use LUTS on Adobe Premiere Pro to enhance your videos and achieve a professional look.
